Checkmate

Happy Tuesday Kings and Queens.

I hope you all had wonderful weekend and are having a wonderful week so far. I sure am. I am bringing in this new week with this fun checkered two piece set.

I'm sure you all have noticed by now I can not commit to one specific hairstyle for too long. I love to switch it up and keep you all guessing. I am loving this black curly voluminous Afro wig with my look. I was going for modern black barbie look. This hair is perfect for a low hair maintenance woman. It is the perfect shake and go look. The curls stay in tact framing the face beautifully with those full fringe bangs.

This two piece print and color placement reminded me of a chess board. This checkered blazer and skater skirt was such an easy style. They also can be styled as separate statement pieces. For a dressy or causal look the blazer can be styled with white wide leg/flare dress pants or jeans and the skater skirt can be restyled with a solid color button up to match any of the colors on the skirt or crop top.

I decided to keep it simple by keeping the two piece as is and accessorize it to complete the look. I paired the look with a silver double layer statement piece choker necklace, silver earrings set and cuff bracelets to match the silver rhinestone details on the blazer buttons. Red pumps were a definite yes for this look because that was the main color that stood out to me on the two piece set. I loved how the bright red pumps brought the look to life. I had a blast rocking this look, like the saying goes "life is too short to wear boring clothes". I definitely agree and will be wearing many more fun looks. I hope you all enjoyed this look. See you all on my next post. Have a wonderful rest of your day.

Oxoxo
